I am a lover of all things Ralph Lauren! I think the Ralph Lauren design style is classic, timeless, and achievable without the Ralph Lauren price tag. This Christmas I knew I wanted to create a Ralph Lauren Inspired Tree using plaid, gold, and lots of beautiful jewel tones.
I found some beautiful plaid ribbon at Micheal’s and I was so impressed with the quality and beauty of this ribbon.
Rarely do I use a star on top of my tree because I love bringing height to a tree with bows and picks. Making bows isn’t the easiest for me, but I did pick up some pointers from Pinterest that helped me immensely.
When it comes to decorating a Ralph Lauren-inspired Christmas tree, I would say there is no correct way to do this. Sometimes we stress about the “right” way to style a tree instead of just enjoying the process.
For me, as I am styling a tree, I put stuff on, take it off, stand back to see what works and doesn’t work, and eventually, the look I had in my head emerges onto the tree.

As a filler under my tree, I wrapped some faux packages and added a fluffy white blanket I found at the thrift store.
This Christmas season I am doing my best to enjoy the season and not just Christmas day. It’s so easy to just throw up some Christmas decor and go through the motions without actually being in the moment and enjoying the process.
Decorating my Ralph Lauren-inspired Christmas tree was so much fun, and actually relaxing, as I enjoyed the creative process.
