If you are a fan of Restoration Hardware but not a fan of their prices; I have two Easy Restoration Hardware DIY Dupes that are easy to create. RH lamps are expensive but you can easily dupe the look with thrift store lamps along with a little bit of paint and dirt or powdered cement.

Restoration Hardware has plenty of gorgeous lamps and pedestals that range anywhere from $100 to $700 which most of us cannot afford. This is where I like to put my DIY skills to the test and dupe the look for less.

Since I am the type of person who likes to use what I already have on hand, I am using some leftover paint in the color Tricorn Black from a previous project to paint the lamps.

Once the paint dried completely, I rubbed powdered Portland cement into the crevices.

To ensure the powdered cement would stay in place, I sprayed a coat of clear matte spray paint then added one more coat of the cement along with a second coat of the clear spray.

Moving on to our pedestal dupe, I used acrylic paint and mixed it with some of the cement to create a more textured appearance. Once it was completely dry, I gave it a coat of clear spray paint.

These Restoration Hardware DIY Dupes are easy to create and you can always find some great items in your thrift store to revamp and give them the RH look for less.
